Administration update

At the end of 2022, XPS Administration replaced Equiniti as the Scheme Administrator. This change followed an extensive review of the market by the Trustee to identify the right organisation to support our Scheme, and you as its members, going forward. 

XPS impressed the Trustee with their commitment to first-class customer service, along with their use of technology to help members understand and make the most of the benefits they have built up in the Scheme.

Transferring the administration for a scheme the size of ours is no small task and it is still early days following this transition. However, to date, the speed at which XPS has got to grips with the task in hand has meant they’ve certainly lived up to the expectations they set.

One of the biggest tasks XPS faces is to ensure the Scheme data they received works well with their systems. As part of this exercise, XPS are carrying out a data audit. This activity will unlock more functionality within MyPension so look out for further announcements about this in due course.

Administration services are led by Neil Bradford, Head of Client Management at XPS. “We are very pleased to be working with the BAA Pension Scheme and its Trustee. It has been an exciting 12 months at XPS and we have enjoyed getting to know the Scheme, the Trustee Directors and their members. We are continuing to work hard with the Trustee into 2024 to improve the quality of data which will permit increased online functionality for members to manage their own pension benefits. We see this as a long-term partnership with Heathrow and their employees.”

MyPension

MyPension is your online portal to access your Scheme benefits. Functionality is being added all the time.

Currently you can:

  • View and update your personal details;
  • Update your Expression of wish;
  • Access Scheme information; and
  • Download important Scheme and member specific documents (including previous quotations or other documents sent to you by XPS).

If you are a Deferred member you can also:

  • See an estimated value of your benefits (transfer value) – this is updated quarterly; and
  • Request retirement or transfer quotations.

If you are a Pensioner member you can also:

  • View your pension history; and
  • View or download your Payslips and P60s.

If you have not logged into MyPension before you will need the details provided to you in the Welcome Pack sent to you by XPS.
