The Pensions Regulator
There is a regulatory body that oversees the running of pension plans. The Pensions Regulator can intervene where trustees, employers or professional advisers fail in their duties. Further information in relation to The Pensions Regulator can be found on their website:
Independent financial advice
By law neither the Trustee nor anyone connected with the Scheme can give you financial advice. If you’re not sure about what pension decisions to make, you should speak to an independent financial adviser (IFA). You can find the name of one in your area through MoneyHelper. You may have to pay for the services of an IFA, so ask for a quote first.
